BAM FLYING SITE RULES

CLUB MEMBERS AND GUESTS ONLY. NOT FOR PUBLIC USE

 

  1. The AMA safety code published in the AMA membership manual must be complied with by all members and guests.
  2. Flyers must have AMA (Academy of Model Aeronautics) insurance and must follow AMA rules.
  3. All guests/ spectators must stay in designated areas: behind the fence or in the parking area.
  4. No unrestrained animals (e.g., tied or kept in the car).
  5. All flyers must be accompanied by a qualified instructor until certified as pilots.
  6. Flying times are Monday through Saturday, 8:30 until Sundown and Sunday 10:00 until Sundown. (Electric powered and high start gliders exempted.)
  7. Pilots shall not INTENTIONALLY fly over the following areas as designated by the field map: pit, spectator, and parking areas, houses, and buffer zones. A copy of the map will be posted at the flying field.
  8. Every member will check their transmitter in at the impound area upon arrival at the filed. The frequency control board will be used.
  9. All airplanes shall meet the posted noise restriction guidelines.
  10. Parents are responsible for the actions and safety of their children at all times.
  11. All club members are to abide by and enforce all BAM and AMA regulations.
  12. It is each member’s responsibility to keep the field and environs free of trash and debris.
  13. It is the responsibility of the last member departing the field to secure the field and club property.
  14. Rules may be modified, changed, or expanded during contest/special events at the direction and responsibility of the Contest Director.
  15. Guests who willfully violate any rules will be the responsibility of the member sponsoring the guest.
  16. A High Visibility barrier will hang across the poles on driveway entrance.
  17. Instructor and trainee should be only aircraft flying. (The instructor has option to allow other aircraft to fly).
  18. An operating pilot may request instructor/trainee to refrain from flying until the pilot approves.
  19. Two instructors must separately certify trainee as pilot, for approval by membership.
  20. Instructors will be designated by club pilot membership.
